Fees

At Orion Dental Centre we pride ourselves on our level of service, because we feel your oral health is something you do not want to compromise on.  When you choose us, we believe you will receive excellent service and great value for money.

We ask that you settle your account on the day of treatment.  We accept cash, EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa and cheque by prior arrangement.  Where possible we will outline the charges incurred for a particular service. For clinical reasons, this is not always possible, but we will attempt to provide an estimate for the treatment being prescribed on that day.

As an indication of our fees, we have found that most first visits are between $200 and $300.  After this, treatment planning can accommodate most clinical and budget scenarios to achieve your desired outcome.

Cancellation Charges

When your make an appointment with us, we are reserving time specifically for your oral health needs.  Should you cancel your appointment within 24 hours, or do not attend your appointment, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee to cover the costs of this reserved time.

Health Funds

If you are also a member of a participating health fund, we offer iSOFT's HealthPoint payment service.  This allows the health fund portion of your account to be processed on the spot, with the balance of your account payable by the above means.

Unfortunately, with the large number of different health funds, each offering different types of plans, we are not in a position to advise you of your fund's rebate amount or limits.  We recommend that you contact your health fund for more information.

If you are looking to purchase health insurance, then you can compare products at the Australian Government Private Health Insurance website.

Medicare Australia

The Australian Government has recently introduced the Medicare Teen Dental Plan for eligible teenagers aged between 12 and 17 years.  We have chosen to participate in this scheme, however you will be required to pay for your treatment up front.  You will then need to send your voucher and receipt to Medicare to be reimbursed up to the  value of the voucher.  More information can be found at the Medicare Australia website.

Orion Dental Centre continues to participate in the Medicare Enhanced Primary Care Program for eligible persons.  For more information you should contact your GP who will then be able to refer you into the program.
