About Us

Orion Dental Centre was established by Dr Bryan Dubbeldam in January 2008 to serve the growing needs of the Greater Springfield Community. Graduating from the University of Queensland in 1993, Dr Dubbeldam joined the Royal Australian Air Force and has practiced in around Australia, and most recently at Amberley. He remains a consultant in the Air Force Reserve. Dr Dubbeldam is skilled in all facets of general dentistry, and particularly enjoys restorative dentistry.

Joining the practice in January 2010 was Dr Steven Fiore. Before returning to the University of Queensland to study dentistry, Dr Fiore was a registered pharmacist for several years. During his undergraduate training, Dr Fiore received academic prizes for paediatric dentistry and periodontics and he is a welcome addition to Orion Dental Centre.

Our practice manager, Kellie Johnsson, is spending 2011 on maternity leave, and is being sorely missed. She was trained in northern Queensland in the mid-1990s and after roles as a dental assistant and with the dental industry joined the practice when it opened.

Tricia, Grace, Nicholle and Alisha are our wonderful dental assistants and complete our team. They are instrumental in the smooth operation of our clinic, keeping our dentists on time and making your dental experience a pleasant one.

The practice has been a Finalist in the Quest Business Achiever Awards in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

Our Brand

The Orion Dental Centre logo is a based on a stylised dental arch. This is represented by shooting stars paying homage to the constellation Orion after which the practice is named.

In order to provide you with the highest standard of dental care, this practice is required to collect personal information from you. This information covers basic details such as your name, address and telephone number, but it is also necessary for us to obtain from you details regarding your general health and past medical, dental or surgical treatments and procedures. Without this general health profile, the treating practitioner is unable to plan your care properly. There will be no charge made for requesting this information but there may be fees levied just to cover the costs associated with the processing of this request or the copying of information.
We will take reasonable steps to ensure at all times that the details we keep about you are accurate, complete and up-to-date.
